This was shot during a quick trip into West Glacier to try out my polarized filter. Designed to reduce glare, I’ve been waiting to try out my new filter for quite a while. But this was a short trip.
What you can’t see in this shot was the raging aurora, but that’s exactly what was happening in Europe. And that’s exactly what would be happening once darkness arrived in Montana. So, I cut my time short this afternoon, but only because I would return later that night to shoot the aurora.
