You need a hobby…
That simply observation from my wife in 2015 started it all. So, after picking up a DSLR camera, I started dabbling in astrophotography along the Minnesota North Shore. A “short” 3-hour drive away, I began making the overnight trip in earnest whenever sky conditions were good.
For the parents…
My original goal was to capture scenes from the North Shore for my family and friends. While I’m always open for folks traveling with me, it seems most people don’t find enjoyment tromping around the North Shore in the dead of night.
With that in mind, I set out each trip hoping to capture something unique that others would find interesting. The only problem, no matter how hard I tried, the images I captured never matched the grandeur of the North Shore.
Then in 2019 I tried creating panoramic pictures.
By stitching multiple images together, I was finally able to capture those grand scenes I had pictured in my mind. I’ve been hooked ever since. I don’t always take panoramic pictures, but most of my shots consist of several images stitched together to create the final scene.

I began sharing prints with family and friends, handing out magnets at family gatherings and jam sessions at work. The more I shared, the more I heard “You should sell these”. With that in mind, I signed up for a showing at a local coffee shop.
After receiving a lot of positive feedback, I decided to take the next step and setup my own website. It’s been quite the journey, and I’ve still got a long way to go. But I’m thrilled with the opportunity to share my work with you.
