Horseshoe Bay Milky Way on 7/7/2021 at 11:23pm

I often revisit the same site to capture a different picture. I had already shot the moonlit Horseshoe Bay with a faded Milky Way earlier in the season. This time I returned under darker skies seeking airglow.

While the Summer Milky Way is visible into late fall, you can only capture the rising Milky Way between the pre-dawn skies of February and fading twilight of July. Each day it rises a little earlier, before being washed out by the setting sun in late July.
