Fading
Moonlit Horseshoe Bay Milky Way on 5/18/2021 at 12:42am
I would usually seek out the darkest sky for shooting the Milky Way, but this time I tried something different ... using the setting moon to light the foreground. It wasn't much light, and to my eyes still looked pitch black. But it was enough!
This was the first shot with my upgraded camera gear. I went all in with a full-frame DSLR and fast f/1.8 wide angle lens. Wanting to see how sensitive to light my new gear was, I thought this night would be a good test. It passed.
