When shooting the rising Milky Way, you typically have a window of an hour or so to capture the shot you’re looking for. There’s no rush, and you have plenty of time to shoot … and reshoot … the scene.
That’s not the case with the Blue Angels. You see ‘em before you hear ‘em, and they don’t stick around in one place for very long. Just tracking them with a camera is a challenge, let alone keeping them in focus. But it makes for a fun weekend when they pay Duluth a visit.
